LIBERAL ARTS MAJOR (39 credits)
It is not so very important for a person to learn facts. For that he does not really need a college. He can learn them from books. The value of an education in a liberal arts college is not learning of many facts but the training of the mind to think something that cannot be learned from textbooks (Albert Einstein). This is the essence of the Liberal Arts Major at American Pathways University. In the tradition of general studies, the Liberal Arts Major offers a broad view of the arts, humanities, and sciences attractive to graduate schools, corporate leadership, public service, and entrepreneurism. It enriches the quality of life by fostering an ongoing investigation and engagement with one’s environment, culture, and history. Students complete the general education requirement/Liberal Arts requirements (56 credits), the liberal arts major requirements (39 credits), and electives (25 credits).
